The World tarot card, numbered XXI (21) and the final card of the Major Arcana, represents completion, fulfillment, and wholeness. It symbolizes the end of a major journey and the beginning of a new cycle, having integrated the lessons from all the cards before it.
Visually, the World often depicts a dancing figure (often androgynous or feminine) encircled by a wreath, holding wands or batons in both hands—symbols of balance and mastery. Surrounding the figure are four creatures (a lion, bull, eagle, and human) representing the four fixed signs of the zodiac: Leo, Taurus, Scorpio, and Aquarius—symbols of stability across all domains.
My card is going to have a skeleton Buddha in front of the world. It's far from finished obviously. It may end up being more of The Universe card than The World. What do you think?
